Lux Expose is reporting that 100 Franklin, the Tribeca parking lot once known for its massive pieces of graffiti art by French artist JR, is now being built up in the form of two wedge-shaped buildings which, when complete, will bring 10 full-floor luxury condos to the neighborhood. Architects at DDG created the project with the goal of blending their new buildings into the historic surroundings, using handmade red bricks from Denmark’s Petersen Tegl for the facade, which also features traditional masonry designs that harken back to the neighborhood’s early days. Inside, these Tribeca condos contain spacious layouts and oversized windows that flood the spaces with natural light, and two of the homes are duplex condos with private rooftop terraces.
